Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT)

Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) allows a recipient to transfer government benefits from a Federal account to a retail account to pay for products received. EBT is being used in many States to issue food stamps and many other benefits. EBT has been used throughout the United States since 2004.VMS will provide you with the means to perform EBT transactions, and you too can enjoy the multiple risk reductions that come along with it.

Benefits of Electronic Benefit Transfer:

Eliminates the processes required by the paper food stamp system.
Eliminating paper coupons that may be lost or stolen can help reduce frequent food stamp fraud.
Creates an electronic record of all transactions, thus making it easier to identify instances in which stamps are "trafficked," or exchanged for cash, drugs, or other illegal goods.
