Founder & President

Dema founded Velocity Merchant Services in 1998, at 19, from her parents’ basement. She built it into a nationwide merchant services company serving more than 30,000 small businesses. As Founder & President, she still sets the standard VMS runs on: in-house support, long-term merchant relationships and a team that treats every business owner like a partner.

Danoush Khairkhah

CEO

Danoush (DK) joined VMS in 2003 and leads the company as CEO. He oversees sales, pricing, merchant retention and partner programs with one goal: VMS should be a long-term business partner to every merchant, not just a card processor. DK holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas and owns Pit Pros Automotive, a Dallas auto repair shop, so he runs the same kind of small business VMS serves.

Nancy Jalajel

Director of Operations

Nancy started with Dema in the company’s early days, booking sales leads, and rejoined VMS in 2008. Today she runs day-to-day operations, from hiring and training to the service standards every merchant experiences. Her background in HR, recruiting and sales keeps the team staffed, accountable and focused on fast, consistent support.

Hafez Barakat

Vice President

Hafez joined VMS in 2006 and oversees merchant services, underwriting and risk management. He makes sure new accounts are approved quickly and correctly, and that every merchant is protected by sound risk, compliance and security practices.

Shawn Dodd

Sales Director

Shawn joined VMS in 2004 and leads its nationwide sales team. He makes sure every business owner gets a clear recommendation and the right POS and processing setup for how they sell, from a single food truck to a multi-location restaurant group.

Philip Stockmal

Chief Technology Officer

Phil joined VMS in 2005 and leads its technology, including AI and automation, systems integration and POS technology. His work speeds up merchant onboarding, keeps payment data secure and gives merchants and the VMS team better tools to run their business.

Sarunas Griganavicius

Point-of-Sale Specialist

Sarunas joined VMS in 2016 and is its Clover POS specialist. He works one-on-one with business owners to choose, set up and get more out of Clover, including apps and online ordering. He brings a finance background and a hands-on approach; merchants like Jack’s Bar-B-Que credit him with making their ordering app launch easy.
